NFL: N.Y. Jets 56, Arizona 35

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Brett Favre's six touchdown passes carried the New York Jets to a 56-35 win Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.

Favre ended up with 24 completions in 34 attempts, totaling 289 yards. He was intercepted once.

Laveranues Coles led the Jets' receivers with eight catches, 105 yards and three touchdowns. Jerricho Cotchery caught two other scoring tosses for New York (2-2).

Kurt Warner racked up 472 yards passing and threw for two touchdowns, but was picked off three times and had three fumbles for Arizona (2-2).

Steve Breaston caught nine of Warner's passes and Larry Fitzgerald grabbed eight, each gaining 122 yards.

The Cardinals' Edgerrin James ran for two scores.
