KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Kansas City's Larry Johnson ran for 198 yards and the Chiefs ended a 12-game losing streak Sunday with a 33-19 victory over the Denver Broncos.
Johnson's 28 carries included a pair of touchdowns.
The Chiefs (1-3) won for the first time since beating the Oakland Raiders Oct. 21, 2007.
Damon Huard completed 21-of-28 passes for 160 yards and a score for Kansas City.
The Chiefs' Tony Gonzalez had three receptions for 47 yards and a touchdown. Gonzalez has amassed 10,058 yards, just two yards behind Shannon Sharpe's NFL record for yardage gained by a tight end.
Dwayne Bowe added seven catches for 85 yards for Kansas City.
The Broncos' Jay Cutler was 29-for-49 for 361 yards and touchdown and two interceptions.
Brandon Marshall caught a touchdown pass and Eddie Royal hauled in nine passes for 104 yards for Denver (3-1).
