MLB: Cleveland 4, Boston 3

BOSTON, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Asdrubal Cabrera was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored Monday to lead Cleveland to a 4-3 win over Boston and keep the Red Sox from clinching a playoff berth.

Travis Hafner drove in the eventual winning run for the Indians, who have won seven games in a row. Jamey Carroll and Shin-Soo Choo each added an RBI for Cleveland.

Zach Jackson (1-3) earned his first victory since 2006 after giving up two runs on six hits in six innings.

Kevin Youkilis had two RBI and David Ortiz homered for the Red Sox, who fell 2 1/2 games behind first-place Tampa Bay in the AL East.

Josh Beckett (12-10) allowed four runs on seven hits over six innings in the loss. He hit three batters.
