COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Freshman Terrelle Pryor threw four touchdown passes in his first collegiate start Saturday, powering 13th-ranked Ohio State to a 28-10 victory over Troy.

Pryor completed 10 of 16 passes for 139 yards and one interception to help the Buckeyes (3-1) rebound from last week's loss to top-ranked Southern California. The young quarterback added 66 rushing yards on 14 carries.

Brian Hartline caught two of Pryor's scoring strikes and Dan Herron, filling in again for an injured Chris Wells, added 94 rushing yards on 20 carries for Ohio State, which broke open a closer-than-expected game with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Troy's Jamie Hampton threw for 218 yards and a touchdown on 30-of-43 passing, but was intercepted twice by OSU safety Kurt Coleman. Jerrel Jernigan finished with 66 yards and a score on eight catches for the Trojans (2-1), last year's co-Sun Belt champions.

Pryor started at quarterback after senior Todd Boeckman's poor showing in last Saturday's blowout loss to USC.
