OAKLAND, Calif., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Aaron Cunningham's three-run home run was the decisive blow for the Oakland A's Sunday in a 7-4 win over the Texas Rangers.
Cunningham's two-out homer, his first in the major leagues, broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Ryan Sweeney had three hits and two RBI and Cliff Pennington drove in a run for the Athletics.
Joey Devine (6-1) pitched a scoreless eighth inning and got the win.
Nelson Cruz had three hits and drove in four runs for Texas
Warner Madrigal (0-2), who gave up Oakland's runs in the eighth, was the loser.
