MLS: Columbus 1, Toronto FC 1 (tie)

TORONTO, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Carl Robinson scored for Toronto FC and Pat Noonan scored for Columbus Saturday when the two teams played to a 1-1 Major League Soccer tie.

Goaltender Greg Sutton made a key stop on a penalty kick to preserve the tie for Toronto (7-11-6).

The Crew (13-6-5) had a four-match winning streak broken, but ran its unbeaten streak to five and extended its Eastern Conference lead over New England to three points.

Robinson scored his first goal of the season in the sixth minute Saturday, after Amado Guevara set him up on a free kick.

The Crew had a chance to tie it six minutes later when Alejandro Moreno -- who leads Columbus with eight goals -- drove a penalty kick toward the lower-left corner. However, Sutton was in position and turned the kick away.

Noonan got past a defender and beat Sutton with the tying goal late in the first half.
