MLB: San Francisco 5, San Diego 2

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Pedro Sandoval and Travis Ishikawa hit solo homers Friday and Brian Wilson worked his way out of a jam to bring San Francisco a 5-2 win over San Diego.

Both Sandoval and Ishikawa hit their third home runs of the season, giving Jonathan Sanchez an early lead.

Sanchez (9-10) got the win by allowing two runs on six hits in six innings.

Wilson came on in the ninth to protect the three-run lead. He gave up a one-out single to Brian Giles and walked Will Venable but Adrian Gonzalez flew out to right and Kevin Kouzmanoff struck out to end the game and give Wilson his 38th save.

Jake Peavy (9-11) allowed five runs on 11 hits over eight innings to take the loss.
