BALTIMORE, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco ran 38 yards for a touchdown in his first start in the NFL, a 17-10 Ravens victory Sunday over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mark Clayton scored on a 42-yard run, Le'Ron McClain rushed for 86 yards and rookie Ray Rice ran for 64 yards in his NFL debut for the Ravens (1-0).

Carson Palmer connected on just 10 of 25 passes for 99 yards and an interception for Cincinnati (0-1).

Cincinnati's Johnathan Joseph scored on a 65-yard run after recovering a fumble by Rice.

The Bengals' Ocho Cinco (formerly Chad Johnson) caught one pass. He was not allowed by the NFL, at least for the opening game, to have his new name sewn on his jersey.
