COL FB: Georgia 56, Central Michigan 17

ATHENS, Ga., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Knowshon Moreno rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns Saturday, helping the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs race to a 56-17 win over Central Michigan.

Matthew Stafford completed 18 of 28 passes for 213 yards and two TDs for the Bulldogs (2-0), who have outscored opponents 101-38 so far this season.


Mohamed Massaquoi caught five passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns, and Richard Samuel and Caleb King each ran for a touchdown for Georgia, which has won nine straight games dating back to last season.

Dan LeFevour passed for 250 yards and two touchdowns in a 23-for-43 performance for the Chippewas (1-1). Joe Bockheim and Jean Pitts each had a touchdown reception in the loss.
