GLENDALE, Ariz., Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Keary Colbert and Jack Williams scored on fourth-quarter plays totaling 176 yards Friday, rallying Denver to a 28-14 victory over Arizona.

The game was the last to be completed in the NFL's exhibition season, paving the way for the start of the regular campaign Thursday.

Arizona had a 14-10 lead going into the fourth quarter, but Matt Prater brought the Broncos within three with a 38-yard field goal. Colbert then caught an 87-yard touchdown pass from Darrell Hackney and Hackney's two-point conversion run made it 21-14.

Williams clinched the victory by intercepting a pass and returning it 89 yards for a score with 5:42 to play.

Both teams finished their exhibition schedule with 2-2 records. Denver will open in Oakland on the season's first Monday night and Arizona will visit San Francisco.

The exhibition season ended with Detroit being the only unbeaten team and Cleveland and New England the only winless ones.
