COL FB: Texas 52, Florida Atlantic 10

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Colt McCoy passed for 222 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 103 yards and a TD Saturday to lead No. 10 Texas to a 52-10 win over Florida Atlantic.

McCoy, 24-for-29 passing, completed his first 13 passes in leading the Texas offense to 503 net yards.

Four different Longhorn receivers caught touchdown passes, including Blaine Irby, who caught seven passes for 62 yards. Vondrell McGee rushed for 63 yards on 12 carries.

Florida Atlantic quarterback Rusty Smith was 15-of-31 for 253 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.

Jamari Grant had four catches for 93 yards while Rob Housler caught the Owls' lone touchdown.
