ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Juan Rivera's three-run double highlighted a five-run eighth inning Thursday that brought the Los Angeles Angels from behind to a 7-5 win over Texas.

Rivera moved to third on a base hit by Chone Figgins and Robb Quinlan came on to run for Rivera. An infield single by Reggie Willits delivered Quinlan with the fifth run of the inning.

Los Angeles starter Jon Garland (11-8) survived eight innings to get the win. He allowed five runs on eight hits. Francisco Rodriguez worked the ninth for his 51st save.

Wright (6-6) took the loss.
