PHOENIX, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Brandon Webb scattered three hits over seven innings and notched his major league-leading 19th win Thursday, leading Arizona to a 4-1 victory over San Diego.
Webb (19-4) struck out eight, walked three and held the Padres scoreless. It was his sixth consecutive win.
Conor Jackson hit a two-run double in the Diamondbacks' sixth win in seven games. Jackson had six RBI in a three-game sweep of San Diego.
Arizona, which has won six of its last seven contests, stayed two games ahead of the second-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. The Dodgers beat Colorado 3-1 Thursday.
Chad Reineke (1-1) took the loss -- San Diego's fourth straight -- allowing three runs and five hits in six innings.
