ST. LOUIS, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson signed a six-year contract after he ended his training camp holdout on Thursday.
Jackson reported to the team's camp in St. Louis shortly after passing a physical.
The camp started on July 25 at Concordia University in Mequon, Wisc.
The move came less than 24 hours after his agent, Eugene Parker, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the 6-foot-2 inch, 235-pounder agreed to report as a show of good faith in contract negotiations.
Specific contract terms were not released, but various reports said he would make $49.3 million.
"We just had two different ways (on) where we wanted to go on a contract," Jackson told the newspaper Thursday. "That's where it came to a standstill."
Despite injuries last season, the former Oregon State product rushed for 1,002 yards with five touchdowns on 237 carries, adding 38 receptions for 271 yards and a touchdown in 12 games.
