MLB: Cleveland 4, LA Angels 3

CLEVELAND, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Grady Sizemore's sixth-inning, run-scoring single Sunday gave Cleveland a 4-3 win over the LA Angels of Anaheim.

His second hit with no outs in the bottom of the sixth followed a sacrifice by Asdrubal Cabrera, scoring Sal Fasano from third to snap a 3-3 tie.

Franklin Gutierrez had three hits and two RBI. Ryan Garko had two hits and one RBI, while Ben Francisco added two hits for the Indians, who had lost three of four.

Winner Jeremy Sowers (2-6) gave up three runs -- two earned -- and eight hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Jensen Lewis earned his third save despite yielding two hits in the ninth.

LA got one RBI each from Mark Texeira and Vladimir Guerrero, and one run scored on Fasano's fifth-inning passed ball.

Texeira was one of four players with two hits for the AL West-leading Angels, who had won six of their previous eight games.

The losing pitcher was reliever Justin Speier (1-6).
