CARSON, Calif., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Galaxy have lost both their coach and their general manager after a seven-game MLS winless streak, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Coach Ruud Gullit resigned and President-General Manager Alexi Lalas was fired, the newspaper said.
The Galaxy has dropped to fourth place in the MLS Western Conference.
Gullit, 45, signed a three-year contract last November. Cobi Jones, a first-year assistant who retired following last season, will reportedly take over for Gullit as the Galaxy's interim coach.
Tom Payne, the team's assistant general manager, will reportedly take over Lalas' duties on an interim basis.
The Galaxy are led by English soccer star David Beckham.
