MLB: Philadelphia 4, Pittsburgh 2

PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Brett Myers gave up a run and five hits in 7 2/3 innings to help the Philadelphia Phillies top Pittsburgh 4-2 Saturday.

Shane Victorino had two hits and two RBI, while Jimmy Rollins went 4 for 4. Greg Dobbs had two hits and one RBI, and Ryan Howard had one RBI for the NL East-leading Phillies, who had lost three of four.

Myers (5-9) walked one batter and fanned six before Chad Durbin earned his first save this season despite giving up a run and two hits in the ninth.

Pittsburgh scored on Nate McLouth's fourth-inning double and Brandon Moss' single in the ninth. McLouth had two of the seven hits for the Pirates, had won two in a row after a four-game losing streak.

Losing pitcher Ian Snell (4-9) surrendered three earned runs and eight hits in six innings with three walks and five strikeouts.
