DENVER, July 17 (UPI) -- Chris Iannetta put Colorado in front with a two-run homer in the sixth inning Thursday and the Rockies held on to defeat Pittsburgh 5-3.
Colorado halted a four-game losing streak -- the longest active skid in the National League heading into the all-star break.
Pittsburgh held a 3-2 lead going into the sixth, but Paul Maholm (6-6) gave up four hits in the inning and lost the advantage.
Jeff Baker led off the sixth with a double and, one out later, scored on a double by Garrett Atkins. Iannetta then launched a homer to left, his 10th of the season.
Ubaldo Jimenez (5-9) lasted seven innings to get the win. He surrendered three runs on five hits and struck out four.
Brian Fuentes worked a perfect ninth for his 15th save.
