KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 12 (UPI) -- David DeJesus hit a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth Saturday to give the Kansas City Royals a 5-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners.
DeJesus had two hits and two runs scored and Mark Grudzielanek had two hits -- including the 2,000th of his MLB career. DeJesus, Alex Gordon and Mark Teahen each had an RBI for Kansas City.

Former Mariner Horacio Ramirez (1-0) got the win with 2 1/3 perfect innings of relief.
Raul Ibanez hit a two-run homer and Jeremy Reed had two RBI for the Mariners, who have only one win in their last seven games.
Brandon Morrow (1-2) entered in the ninth and retired the first two batters but walked pinch-hitter Billy Butler before DeJesus homered.
