Szavay upset in Budapest tournament

BUDAPEST, Hungary, July 9 (UPI) -- Top-seeded and local favorite Agnes Szavay was routed in straight sets Wednesday at the $175,000 Gaz de France tennis tournament in Hungary.

Szavay, playing in her hometown of Budapest, was given a first-round bye as one of the top-seeded players but was stunned by Andreja Klepac 6-2, 6-3. Szavay managed to get just 53 percent of her first serves in and had her serve broken four times. Klepac faced just one break point in the match and she saved that.
