SEATTLE, July 3 (UPI) -- Miguel Cairo put Seattle in front with a two-run double in the fifth Wednesday and the Mariners went on to defeat Toronto 4-2.
The Mariners won their third straight series with their seventh victory in nine games.

Toronto overcame a 2-0 deficit in the top of the fifth on the third homer of the year by Adam Lind, a two-run shot.
Seattle quickly regained the lead when Yuniesky Betancourt and Ichiro Suzuki both singled and Cairo doubled to center off loser Dustin McGowan (6-7).
Jarrod Washburn (4-7) got the win, giving up two runs on seven hits in six innings. Washburn picked up his second victory in less than a week after having not won a game since May 5.
Brandon Morrow earned his fifth save.
