MLB: Milwaukee 4, Arizona 3

PHOENIX, July 3 (UPI) -- Mike Cameron singled in Russell Branyan with an unearned run in the ninth Wednesday, giving the Milwaukee Brewers a 4-3 victory over Arizona.

The Diamondbacks fell below .500 for the first time since the third day of the season, but even with a losing record they still lead the Los Angeles Dodgers by 1 ½ games at the top of the National League West.

Arizona took a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning, but J.J. Hardy singled in a run in that inning, Cameron doubled in another in the seventh and Rickie Weeks hit a solo homer in the eighth to put the Brewers in front.

After Justin Upton's homer in the bottom of the inning tied the contest, an error by third baseman Mark Reynolds led to the winning run in the ninth.

Reynolds booted a grounder by Branyan, who moved to second on a sacrifice by Gabe Kapler. That brought up Cameron, who singled to center on a 2-2 pitch from Brandon Lyon (2-3).

David Riske (1-1) worked the eighth inning for the win. Salomon Torres put two on in the ninth, but got a double-play grounder to end it for his 15th save.
