MLB: Colorado 6, Florida 5 (11 inn.)

DENVER, July 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Spilborghs delivered a two-run single in the 11th inning Thursday, giving the Colorado Rockies a 6-5 victory over Florida.

The Rockies came from behind three times to hand the Marlins a disappointing setback in the first game of a season-long, 11-game road trip.

Colorado overcame an early two-run deficit on Jeff Baker's two-run homer in the second and the Rockies tied the game at 3-3 in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Jeff Baker.

Cody Ross put the Marlins in front with an RBI double in the top of the 11th, only to have the Rockies get to Kevin Gregg (6-3) in the bottom half of the inning.

Yorvit Torrealba walked to open the 11th and Gregg then cost himself by throwing away Scott Podsednik's bunt attempt. Troy Tulowitzki walked to load the bases.

Omar Quintanilla next hit a grounder to second and Torrealba was forced out at home. That brought up Spilborghs, who stroked a single to left-center on a 1-2 pitch that brought in the tying and winning runs.

Matt Herges (3-3) got the victory despite giving up Florida's go-ahead run in the 11th.
