NEW YORK, June 29 (UPI) -- Oliver Perez limited the Yankees to a run and three hits in seven innings Sunday in a 3-1 Mets' victory at New York's Shea Stadium.
Perez (6-5) improved his career record against the Yankees to 5-1 by striking out eight and not walking any batters. His only serious blemish was Wilson Betemit's solo home run in top of the seventh.
Like Castillo, the Mets' Endy Chavez had three hits and the Subway Series ended in a four-game split.
Closer Billy Wagner pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to record his 18th save.
The Yankees' Derek Jeter had two of their four hits.
Losing pitcher Darrell Rasner (4-6) surrendered two earned runs and eight hits in five innings.
