MLB: Chi. White Sox 2, LA Dodgers 0

LOS ANGELES, June 26 (UPI) -- John Danks combined with four relievers on a five-hit shutout Thursday when the Chicago White Sox downed the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-0.

Danks (5-4) yielded four hits in six scoreless innings, but walked four batters and was lucky no runs scored during his stint.

Relievers Matt Thornton, Octavio Dotel, Scott Linebrink carried the shutout into the ninth inning, when closer Bob Jenks retired the side in order to record his 17th save this season.

Chicago's Alexei Ramirez had two hits and one RBI. Carlos Quentin knocked in the other run and no other player had more than one hit for the White Sox, who won twice in the three-game inter-league series at Dodger Stadium.

Five players had one hit each for the Dodgers, who have lost four of their last six games.

Losing pitcher Clayton Kershaw (0-2) gave up two earned runs and six hits in four innings.
