MLB: Kansas City 7, Colorado 3

KANSAS CITY , Mo., June 24 (UPI) -- Alex Gordon hit a two-run home run Tuesday, leading the Kansas City Royals to a 7-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Zack Greinke (7-4) worked six innings and gave up three runs on nine hits while striking out 10.

Ross Gload and Mike Aviles each had two hits and an RBI for the Royals, who have won nine of their last 10 games.

Jorge De La Rosa (2-4) took the loss after allowing four runs -- two earned -- on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. Ryan Spilborghs, Brad Hawpe and Matt Holliday each had two hits and an RBI for the Rockies, who have lost three straight.
