EASTBOURNE, England, June 18 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Marion Bartoli won but the No. 1 and No. 3-seeded players lost Wednesday at the $600,000 International Women's Open tennis tournament in England.
Bartoli, who had lost her four previous matches, routed Sybille Bammer, 6-3, 6-0, on a day in which top-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova and third-seeded Vera Zvonareva lost meekly in straight sets.
