MLB: N.Y. Mets 9, LA Angels 6

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 17 (UPI) -- Carlos Beltran's two solo home runs Monday keyed the New York Mets' 9-6 decision over the Los Angeles Angels.

Luis Castillo drove in two runs and scored once for the Mets, who have won three of their last four games. David Wright also drove in two runs and Brian Schneider drove in one.

Mike Pelfrey (3-6) got his first win in 11 starts despite giving up six runs on eight hits in six-plus innings.

The Angels got a pair of RBI from Garret Anderson, while Chone Figgins went 2-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored.

Jared Weaver slipped to 6-7 on the season as the Angels lost for the third time in four outings. Weaver gave up six runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
