MLB: Arizona 1, Kansas City 0 (10 innings)

PHOENIX, June 14 (UPI) -- Chad Tracy's one-out, solo homer in the bottom of the 10th Friday night gave the Arizona Diamondbacks a 1-0 victory over Kansas City.

Tracy hit his third home run of the season off losing pitcher Yasuhiko Yabuta (1-2), after Royals starter Zack Greinke limited the Diamondbacks to three hits with seven walks and three strikeouts over seven innings, and relievers Ramon Martinez and Ron Mahay held Arizona scoreless in the eighth and ninth innings.

Diamondbacks starter Doug Davis went seven scoreless innings, giving up six hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Relievers Chad Qualls and Tony Pena were perfect in the eight and ninth innings, and Billy Buckner (1-0) gave up one hit in the 10th before earning the victory.

Tracy and Stephen Drew had two hits for Arizona, which has won three of its last four games.

Mark Grudzielanek, Alex Gordon and Joey Gathright had two hits apiece for the Royals, who have lost three of their last four.
