MLB: Tampa Bay 12, Texas 4

ARLINGTON, Texas, June 6 (UPI) -- Evan Longoria, B.J. Upton, Dioner Navarro and Eric Hinske homered Friday and the Tampa Bay Rays scored nine times in the last two innings to blast Texas 12-4.

After giving up 39 runs to Cleveland in a four-game series, the Rangers were again victimized by the Rays, who were coming off a series sweep at the hands of Boston.

Tampa Bay had only a 3-1 lead going into the eighth, but Navarro hit a two-run homer in that inning and Hinske contributed a two-run shot during a six-run ninth.

Scott Kazmir (6-1) ran his unbeaten streak to six games. He allowed six hits and two runs over eight innings.

Vicente Padilla (7-3) took the loss, despite surrendering only five hits and three runs in six frames.

Longoria hit a solo shot in the fifth to tie the game at 1-1 and Upton had a solo homer in the sixth.
