MLB: LA Dodgers 8, Colorado 2

LOS ANGELES, June 3 (UPI) -- Derek Lowe limited Colorado to one run over eight innings Monday, pacing the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-2 win over the Rockies.

Lowe (3-5) allowed just five hits and a walk, while striking out three for his first win in his last eight starts.

Los Angeles got home runs from Matt Kemp, Jeff Kent and Andre Ethier. James Loney also drove in a run as the Dodgers got their second win in their past eight games.

Colorado starter Greg Reynolds (0-3) coughed up six runs -- four earned -- on seven hits in five innings as the Rockies lost their eighth straight.

Todd Helton had three hits, while Garrett Atkins and Yorvit Torrealba each had an RBI for Colorado.
