DAVIE, Fla., June 1 (UPI) -- Six-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jayson Taylor of Miami says he plans to play one more NFL season and will not participate in a upcoming minicamp.
At a news conference Sunday, the 11-year veteran told reporters he is willing to accept a trade to a contender.
The team's latest management, led by General Manager Bill Parcells, was not happy with Taylor's recent entry in the network television program "Dancing with the Stars."
The Dolphins were engaged in organized team activities and the 33-year-old Taylor missed them.
"I want to win in '08, that's what I want to do," Taylor said. "I told the Dolphins from day one that if it was best for the organization I would be open to a trade."
He was frustrated about the Dolphins' 1-15 record last season.
The franchise record-holder in sacks (117) said he will miss the mandatory minicamp because of family and legal obligations.
