MLB: San Diego 7, San Francisco 3 (13 inn)

SAN FRANCISCO, May 31 (UPI) -- Pinch-hitter Justin Huber drove in two runs in a four-run 13th Friday night to seal the San Diego Padres' 7-3 win over San Francisco.

Cha Seung Baek (1-0) got the victory after striking out the side in the 12th and Trevor Hoffman was perfect in the 13th to preserve the win for the Padres, who have won four of their last five games.

San Diego pitchers held San Francisco hitless in the Giants' final 17 at-bats.

Billy Sadler (0-1) took the loss for San Francisco after issuing a bases-loaded walk to Khalil Greene and then hitting Michael Barrett with a pitch.

John Bowker and Randy Winn each had two hits and drove in a run for the Giants, who had come into the contest with a three-game winning streak.

The Giants executed a triple play in the eighth inning, when Brian Giles led off with a walk and then went to second on Adrian Gonzalez's single. Keiichi Yabu came on in relief and got Kevin Kouzmanoff to hit a grounder to third -- where Jose Castillo fielded the ball, stepped on third, and threw to Ray Durham for the force at second. Durham then threw to first before Kouzmanoff could reach safely.
