DETROIT, May 29 (UPI) -- A strained right elbow has left Detroit forward Richard Hamilton questionable for Friday night's NBA playoff game against Boston at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons, trailing three games to two, need a win in Game 6 of the best of seven Eastern Conference final series to avoid elimination.
The 6-foot-7 inch Hamilton, who was injured late in Game 5 Wednesday, has led Detroit in scoring with 21.7 points per game.
X-rays taken at Boston were negative.
"If we had to play today, I don't think he'd play," Coach Flip Saunders said on the team's Web site. "It'd be different if it was his left arm, but it's his right arm -- his shooting arm, so I think that he's going to need to get it polished up a little bit before he can play."
Hamilton has added 4.4 rebounds and nearly four assists per contest.
If he can't go, his place in the starting lineup likely would be filled by rookie Rodney Stuckey.
