WASHINGTON, May 25 (UPI) -- Elijah Dukes scored the game-winner Sunday on a one-out wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth in the Washington Nationals' 7-6 win over Milwaukee.
The winners needed the closing drama after blowing an early 6-0 advantage.
Washington built its lead with the help of Wily Mo Pena's two-run double in the fourth and Aaron Boone's two-run homer in the fifth. Boone had two hits and was the only player with more than one for the Nationals, who have won twice in the four-game holiday weekend series.
The winner was Jon Rauch (3-1).
Four players had two hits apiece for the Brewers, who have lost three of four.
Losing pitcher Guillermo Mota (1-3) uncorked the wild pitch that let in the game-winner.
