LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- Kyle Lohse and three relievers combined to hurl a six-hit shutout Saturday in the St. Louis Cardinals' 4-0 win over the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Lohse (4-2) gave up six hits in six shutout innings with no walks and five strikeouts. Randy Flores, Kyle McClellan and Chris Perez each pitched one scoreless inning in relief, with Perez striking out the side in the bottom of the ninth.
A two-run double by centerfielder Rick Ankiel capped a four-run outburst against starting and losing pitcher Brad Penny in the top of the third inning. Ryan Ludwick and Albert Pujols knocked in one run each for the Cardinals, who were limited to the four hits.
Penny (5-5) yielded four earned runs and four hits in seven innings with two walks and five strikeouts.
