MLB: LA Dodgers 4, St. Louis 3 (10 inn.)

LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- Andre Ethier's 10th-inning RBI single gave the Los Angeles Dodgers a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals Sunday.

Ethier's line drive to right field sent home Juan Pierre, who had reached base and moved to second on a wild pitch.

Luiz Maza homered and Russell Martin drove in a pair of runs for the Dodgers, who have won four of their last six games.

Reliever Takashi Saito (3-1) got the win, striking out five batters in two scoreless innings.

Los Angeles' starter, left-hander Clayton Kershaw, the first-round draft pick in 2006, allowed two runs on five hits over six innings in his first start in the major leagues. Kershaw notched seven strikeouts.

Albert Pujols had two hits and an RBI for St. Louis, which had won six of seven.

Mike Parisi (0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.
