MLB: Washington 5, Milwaukee 1

WASHINGTON, May 23 (UPI) -- A two-run double by Jesus Flores keyed a four-run sixth inning Friday, giving the Washington Nationals a 5-1 win over Milwaukee.

The Nationals won for the first time in three games, thanks in part to a solo homer from Wily Mo Pena and RBIs from Ryan Zimmerman and Lastings Milledge.

Reliever Brian Sanches (1-0) picked up the win after being called up from Class AAA Columbus earlier in the day. He came on in the sixth to relieve Odalis Perez and struck out the side.

Saul Rivera, Luis Ayala and Jon Rauch followed with an inning each of scoreless relief.

Jeff Suppan (2-4) gave up five runs on only three hits in 5 2/3 innings to take the loss. Just one of the runs was earned and the Brewers lost for the eighth time in 10 games.
