ST. LOUIS, May 18 (UPI) -- Skip Schumaker's RBI double in the bottom of the ninth Sunday gave the St. Louis Cardinals a 5-4 win over Tampa Bay.
Aaron Miles' RBI single in the eighth created a 4-4 tie. Schumaker also hit an RBI single in the sixth.
Albert Pujols had three hits and Miles had two hits for the Cardinals, who won the final two games of the three-game inter-league series at Busch Stadium.
The winner was Chris Perez (1-0).
Tampa Bay got one RBI each from three players. One run scored on Jason LaRue's-fifth inning throwing error and three players had two hits apiece for the American League East-leading Rays, who lost for just the third time in 11 games.
The losing pitcher was Gary Glover (0-2).
