MLB: Colorado 6, Minnesota 2

DENVER, May 18 (UPI) -- The Colorado Rockies, led by Todd Helton's two hits and three RBI, topped the Minnesota Twins 6-2 Sunday.

Helton hit a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning when Colorado broke the game open by scoring three times after a 3-2 lead, He added a solo homer and an RBI single.

Clint Barmes had two hits, one a solo homer in the third. Jeff Baker and reliever Taylor Buchholz also had one RBI each, and Garrett Atkins had two hits for the Rockies, who won the final two games of the series after a six-game losing streak.

Winner Jeff Francis (1-4) gave up two earned runs on six hits and two walks in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out six.

Minnesota's Justin Morneau belted a two-run homer in the sixth.

Delmon Young had two of the six hits for the Twins, who have dropped five of six.

The losing pitcher was starter Kevin Slowey (0-4).
