MLB: Oakland 12, Texas 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 11 (UPI) -- Emil Brown had four RBI Sunday, three with a first inning homer, in the Oakland Athletics' 12-6 win at Texas.

Oakland led 4-0 after the first and scored the game's final six runs -- three in the ninth -- after Texas rallied to tie the contest 6-6 after six innings.

Dan Barton, with a two-run blast in the ninth, and Frank Thomas both drove in two runs. Mike Sweeney and Jack Cust had one RBI apiece.

Jack Hannahan had two hits and two RBI. Bobby Crosby stole home in the seventh and Mark Ellis added three hits for the Athletics, who stopped a two-game skid.

The winner was reliever Santiago Casilla (1-0).

Texas got two RBI from Jarrod Saltalamacchia and one RBI each from four other players. Ian Kinsler had three hits and Josh Hamilton two for the Rangers, who failed to get a three-game sweep.

The losing pitcher was Franklyn German (1-1).
