DENVER, May 8 (UPI) -- A two-run triple by Chris Iannetta climaxed a four-run, eighth-inning rally Wednesday that gave Colorado a 4-3 victory over St. Louis.
The Rockies won for just the fourth time in 17 games.
The Cardinals' Adam Wainwright threw seven shutout innings before the relief corps let a 3-0 lead get away.
Kyle McClellan replaced Wainwright to start the eighth and gave up a one-out single to Omar Quintanilla. Matt Holliday then drove in Quintanilla with a triple, after which Randy Flores relieved McClellan.
Spilborghs singled home Holliday and Iannetta followed with a triple to right to drive in the third and fourth runs of the inning.
