MLB: LA Dodgers 5, N.Y. Mets 4

LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) -- Blake DeWitt raced around the bases for an inside-the-park homer that carried the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-4 win over the New York Mets Tuesday.

The Dodgers managed to eke out the win thanks to their bullpen, which produced 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief after starter Hiroki Kuroda faltered. Kuroda gave up four runs on eight hits and three walks over just 3 1/3 innings. Reliever Hong-Chih Kuo (2-1) picked up the win by throwing 3 2/3. He struck out eight.
