MLB: Philadelphia 11, Arizona 4

PHOENIX, May 6 (UPI) -- Eric Bruntlett drove in three runs and the Philadelphia Phillies churned out 17 hits Monday in burying the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-4.

Jamie Moyer, the oldest player in the majors at 45, limited the Diamondbacks to two runs on six hits over seven innings to even his record at 2-2 and push Philadelphia to 5-2 in their last seven games. He also went 2-for-3 with a run batted in.

Ryan Howard drove in two runs for the Phillies, while Geoff Jenkins and Carlos Ruiz each finished with three hits and an RBI, while Chase Utley doubled twice and scored two runs.

Max Scherzer (0-1) was dinged for five runs -- two earned -- on seven hits in his first major league start. He struck out five in four innings.

Chris Snyder homered and scored twice for Arizona. Stephen Drew added an RBI triple for the Diamondbacks, losers of two straight.
