NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- Johnny Damon banged out three of the Yankees' 13 hits Saturday, driving in two runs in New York's 6-1 win over Seattle.

One of his hits was a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning. His fourth round-tripper this season produced the contest's final two runs and his double was the 400th of his career.

Derek Jeter also had three hits, one an RBI double in the third. Jeter rose to fifth all-time in franchise history in hits.

Hideki Matsui, Melky Cabrera and Bobby Abreu all had two hits and one RBI.

Winner Mike Mussina (4-3) gave up an earned run and seven hits in six innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

Seattle's lone run scored on Ichiro Suzuki's third-inning single.

He and Kenji Johjima had two hits apiece for the Mariners, who have a season-high, four-game losing streak.

Losing pitcher Felix Hernandez (2-2) yielded six earned runs and 12 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
