DENVER, May 3 (UPI) -- Rafael Furcal's three-run homer climaxed a seven-run sixth inning Friday and sent the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 11-6 victory over Colorado.
Los Angeles won its seventh straight.
The Dodgers rallied from a 3-0 deficit with its big inning, and then saw the Rockies claw back to within 7-6.
LA put the game away with a four-run eighth featuring a three-run double by Matt Kemp.
Kemp and Furcal both had four RBI and Brad Penny (5-2) lasted five innings to get the win. Penny gave up three runs on three hits.
Jeff Francis (0-3) was in position to pick up his first win of the year before being roughed up in the sixth. He eventually surrendered four runs on six hits in 5 1/3.
Juan Pierre opened the sixth with a single and then scored on a double by Kemp. One out later, Russell Martin reached on an infield single and James Loney walked to load the bases.
Ryan Speier relieved Francis and gave up an RBI walk to Mark Sweeney. Blake DeWitt followed with a two-run single and Furcal finished off the outburst with a homer to left.
