MLB: Houston 6, Arizona 4

PHOENIX, April 30 (UPI) -- Geoff Blum drove in three runs and scored once Tuesday, leading Houston to a 6-4 victory over Arizona.

Miquel Tejada also drove in a run and scored twice to help the Astros end a three-game losing streak. Carlos Lee and J.R. Towles drove in Houston's other runs.

Doug Brocail (1-0) threw 1 2/3 innings of one-hit ball in relief of Jack Cassel to get the win. Cassel gave up three runs on four hits in 4 2/3 innings. Jose Valverde earned his fifth save, allowing only one hit in the ninth.

Conor Jackson hit a two-run homer and finished with three RBI for Arizona, which lost after winning two straight. Miguel Montero accounted for the other RBI.

Edgar Gonzalez (1-2) was roughed up for six runs on eight hits in 2 2/3 innings of work. Max Scherzer came in and tossed 4 1/3 innings of perfect ball, fanning seven.
