NBA: Utah 86, Houston 82

SALT LAKE CITY, April 27 (UPI) -- Deron Williams had 17 points to lead a balanced Utah attack Saturday and the Jazz beat Houston 86-82 to go up 3-1 in their Western Conference quarterfinal.

Utah held a 68-61 lead at the start of the fourth period but could not put Houston away until Williams' free throw led to a four-point advantage in the closing seconds.

Mehmet Okur scored 14 points with 18 rebounds. Carlos Boozer scored 14 with 14 rebounds.

Ronnie Brewer scored 12, Andrei Kirilenko 11 and Matt Harpring added 10 points for the Jazz, who can close the best of seven series with a win Tuesday night in Houston.

The Rockets were led by Tracy McGrady's 23 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Rafer Alston had 15 points, four rebounds and five assists.

Reserve Carl Landry scored 13 points with six rebounds, while Rockets' forward Shane Battier added 10 points.
