NBA: Cleveland 100, Washington 97

WASHINGTON, April 27 (UPI) -- Delonte West drilled a three-pointer with five seconds left Sunday, delivering Cleveland a 100-97 playoff win over Washington.

Cleveland has a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.

The Cavaliers held a 67-52 lead when LeBron James sank a trey with 7:52 left in the third quarter, but a 12-0 run in about three minutes drew Washington within 67-64 and the contest was close until the end.

James scored 34 points with 12 rebounds and seven assists.

West, a Washington native, had 21 points, five assists and three steals. He sank five of eight three-point attempts, many uncontested.

Another key reserve, Daniel Gibson, added 12 points and five assists.

The Wizards were led by Antawn Jamison's 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Caron Butler had 19 points and four assists. Brendan Haywood scored 16 points with six rebounds. DeShawn Stevenson scored 13 and Gilbert Arenas 10.

The Cavaliers can end the series with a win at home Wednesday night.
