MLB: Minnesota 12, Texas 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, April 27 (UPI) -- Michael Cuddyer hit a three-run homer and scored three times Saturday when the Minnesota Twins clubbed the Texas Rangers 12-6.

Texas led 5-2 after five innings, but Minnesota scored three runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh -- and then added four more runs in the eighth.

Delmon Young had a run, two hits and two RBI. Mike Lamb had three hits and two RBI, and Joe Mauer had two hits, one RBI and three runs scored.

Craig Monroe had two hits and one RBI. Brendan Harris had two runs and three hits, while Jason Kubel had two hits for the Twins, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

The winner was reliever Dennys Reyes (1-0).

Texas' David Murphy had two hits and three RBI. Josh Hamilton had three hits and two RBI and Ian Kinsler had two hits for the Rangers, who have lost eight of nine.

The losing pitcher was reliever Jamey Wright (1-1).
